(Consideration will be given to remote candidates with strong experience and skill set) DEPARTMENT: Technical Support and Training, Service Operations Position Overview: This position will be responsible for conducting technical product training and education programs for MAQUET’s employees and customers focused on the company’s line of surgical tables. The Technical Trainer will also serve as Level 3 escalation point for technical and product related ition reports to the Technical Support and Training Manager.
Position Responsibilities: Develop and conduct product training and education programs for internal company personnel and external customers. Develops training plans, curriculum and presentation materials in support of conducting training courses. Works closely with Manager in identifying and managing all tools, test equipment and capital equipment in support of the product training and field service support. Early involvement with manufacturing centers (Maquet’s Business Units) in influencing serviceability factors associated with new product introductions and sustaining support of existing products. Evaluate Technical Support Engineers (L2) and Field Service Engineers product and technical training needs and develops training plans in coordination with Service Management to address knowledge / skill gaps. Implement measurements (in coordination with Service Management) to improve company personnel performance or enhance employee technical product knowledge. Linked closely to the Technical Support Group, serves as product expert and Level 3 escalation point to define and deliver solutions to all escalated technical and product concerns. Travel to customer sites to assist with escalated concerns, in-field training support and Field Service Engineer evaluations is required. Works closely with Manager in developing corrective action plans for reliability and safety issues. Works closely with training coordinator in defining annual training schedule and coordination of resources. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Position Requirements : BSEE with a concentration in medical devices or equivalent experience Five years of Technical Trainer experience Field service experience preferred Experience supporting and training on surgical tables preferred Excellent training and presentation skills Skilled at creating training plans, curriculum, and assessments Strong electronic and electromechanical background and skills Fluent use of MS Office
