TCG DIRECTOR OF WEB SERVICES SUMMARY Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American theatre, seeks a director of web services. This position is an integral member of the TCG team working closely with all departments including development, marketing, membership, advocacy and PR. The web department interfaces with all departments at TCG and is the nexus of much of our outreach to the field. A passion for interactive communication as well as significant knowledge of online systems, media and coding will ensure a strong candidate. Essential Functions Develop strategic initiatives and directions for organization concerning position, presence and engagement on the web and online media; research and evaluate applications for use and effectiveness for TCG Ability to effectively manage complex projects Supervise staff of 1 full-time web associate and 1 part-time web specialist (primarily Flash and design work) Work with 12+ department contributors to develop the content of our website and meet various departments goals Plan, maintain and compile budget for web department; assist in budgeting for tech elements for other departments Contract negotiation and maintenance for a variety of contractors and service providers Prepare and evaluate proposals for services from providers; manage vendors and other external parties for procurement of services and products for ongoing operations Provide analysis on web statistics of all TCG web properties Additional Responsibilities Maintain and improve the functionality and tools of event registrations, the bookstore, ARTSEARCH, online grant applications and other areas as needed Integrate the TCG website with TMSS CRM system Continuing development and support online communication platform for delivering important news, info and alerts directly to our members Provide analysis on best-practices and technologies for social media and other web based initiatives Using urchin and google analytics to provide statistical analysis of the use of TCGs internet presence Additional Qualifications: Qualifications Experience with programming and coding in coldfusion, SQL, HTML/CSS, DotNetNuke, PHP, javascript, Access, TMSS CRM Keen understanding of social media and web trends, RSS feeds and blogs Willingness to learn APIs of popular new technologies and mobile media, including programming Facebook or iPhone applications for TCG Excellent writing and communications skills and experience providing copy/content Competent user of standard Microsoft productivity software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Highly collaborative work style, curiosity and a sense of humor a must How to Apply: Please submit cover letter, resume and salary requirements to: Theatre Communications Group, attn: Websearch, 520 8th Avenue, 24th floor, New York NY 10018.
