Job Description:
The Technical Specialist works under the direction of Lead and Senior Messaging Strategies Developers. They will be part of a team working with Integration Broker Technologies. They will design, code and configure event based components that run on this technology/platform in support of mission critical applications. Using distributed systems concepts (SOA, web services) and related standards (XML, WSDL, JMS) the Technical Specialist will support development efforts within the department and also support development and design efforts outside the portfolio working with project leads, solution architects and developers. They will assist as needed to help define integration competencies, technical governance and integration standards.
In this position, the Technical Specialist will review and estimate requirements, design, develop and deploy applications and provide support for those applications. The Technical Specialist should be comfortable with Open Source Java Development tools, messaging technologies and an understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns. Experience with the FUSE Technology stack (Apache Camel, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache CXF, Apache ServiceMix and the Spring Framework) is a plus. Experience with other Integration Broker Technology, OSGi Technology and JMS is a plus.
The successful candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should also have good time management skills, problem solving skills and be a team player. The ability to drive through to resolution or quickly escalate unresolved issues and/or deviations from the plan.
