Job Description:
The Summer Intern responsibilities include:
Java programming
Linux scripting
Writing shell Scripts
Analyzing and updating Java Classes
Web Based application experience
Help with non-urgent production defects
Microsoft Office, strong Microsoft Access
The intern will be working on the e-Billing application. This application is used by UPS customers who can view, pay and adjust their invoices online. The application is a web application. On a Linux platform, using Java, Struts, and Tiles technology for the front-end with backend Oracle database.
Candidate must be at least a Junior studying in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. The candidate must have knowledge of Java Programming, ability to write shell scripts, and strong Microsoft Office applications. Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Viable candidates must be currently enrolled in a 4-year degreed college/university program while working at UPS during the summer. The viable candidate must be able to work 32-40 hours per week May – Aug 2012.
Primary Skill: Java programming

Education: The desired Intern will be working toward a 4-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related discipline.
