Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems
4 years of experience in IBM Websphere Application Server / MQ clustering and administration.
Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills (UNIX, Networking, DMZ, Firewalls, J2EE, and Web and Application Servers). Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of issues.
Ability to evaluate, install, test, configure, maintain, and monitor performance of and troubleshoot WebSphere applications.
Solid knowledge of Performance Mgmt, Tuning, Capacity Planning, DR, Failover, etc
Solid knowledge of software and patch mgmt, along with environment mgmt and upkeep.
Strong analytical skills and In-depth knowledge of IT processes.
Solid interpersonal/communication skills and ability to coordinate with management, vendors and cross-functional teams on various MCS projects.
Strong leadership abilities to regularly lead, direct, motivate, and positively influence others in a team environment.

Good understanding of concepts related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts.
Production support experience on Middleware applications and systems in multiple QA and Dev environments.
Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, multiple Unix flavors and operational procedures, familiar with data replication technologies.
On-call support for 24x7 J2EE applications for production and non-production environments will be required.
IBM Certification in WebSphere Application Server Administration is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skillsThis position is for a Websphere Application Developer in the IT Mobile Content Solutions (MCS) Middleware and Infrastructure team to perform WebSphere administration of MCS application environments. This candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration and administration of application servers, Webservers, Middleware products that host intranet / internet facing Java / J2EE applications. He/She will also provide 24/7 technical support for highly available production and non-production environments, and upcoming projects. He/She must possess good WAS/MQ admin skills, analytical skills, problem resolution and troubleshooting skills. Closely work with data center, system admin, IT network, firewall and enterprise web-security teams to configure WAS environments, system patching, WAS upgrades to support enterprise release and new infrastructure setup. Follows all Middleware Administration, Change Control, Release, Incident reporting, Security, and Configuration Management processes, policies, operating plans, and mandates. Candidate requires good interpersonal/communication skills as there is constant interaction with other internal and external teams. The candidate should be able to proactively communicate task status and issues to the manager.
