Senior News Writer
The Senior News Writer for E! Online will cover entertainment and pop-culture news for the cutting-edge website and maintain a presence at New York events.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as liaison between East Coast and West Coast offices
- Generate and write daily stories/features/photo galleries focusing on entertainment news and pop culture, typically under tight deadlines
- Ability to track and develop ongoing news stories
- Use social media (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, MySpace, etc.) to augment coverage of news and events
- Maintain an E! Online presence at East Coast entertainment events (including award shows, press conferences, premieres, special events, celebrity trials, etc.)
- Regularly communicate with publicists and develop sources
- Must be able to fill in as acting News Director when necessary, preparing daily news budgets, overseeing news production, editing stories, etc.
- Position requires working early shift, can accommodate some telecommuting
