One of our clients, a global technology company, has a current full-time position for a Senior Manager, Global Integrated Marketing Communications, B2B - Digital. They need an individual that is part traditional integrated marketing communications expert, part online marketer and direct mail/ database marketer to not only create valuable, strategic marketing initiative but to drive buy-in and improve brand awareness and equity.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the company’s global marketing communication programs from the ground up. Teams and a robust database are in place. Now they need the right person to drive the development of global integrated communications and customer contact strategy and editorial calendars worldwide, work with global teams and key players and create the fundamentals to create and programs forward.
Because of the global nature of the company, the ideal candidate will have worked in a similar setting, but not required.
Location: This position is in Chicago .

Job Responsibilities and Expectations
The Sr. Manager (or Director), Global Integrated Marketing Communications is responsible for leading the development of global integrated marketing communications programs and customer contact strategies. This position will work closely with global, regional and country teams to define the process for creating and delivering campaigns and content across multiple channels to the company’s target audiences worldwide. In addition, the Senior Manager will manage the global editorial calendar to ensure delivery of personalized communications and optimization of customer value through a managed contact messaging cadence.
· Leads the development of global integrated communications and customer contact strategies and calendars worldwide, including audience segmentation strategy, vehicle and media mix recommendation, and global campaign toolkit development, working closely with communications and content managers, and regional teams
· Recommends and advocates contact management strategies that seek profitable market share gains and sales through the design and development of programs to increase customer acquisition, growth and retention
· Serves as the expert on customer contact strategy and collaborates with internal stakeholders on execution of enterprise-wide customer contact efforts
· Leads process definition for creating and delivering campaigns and content to our target audiences worldwide
· Development of plans and processes to leverage best practices and campaign activities worldwide
· Leads and drives editorial standards and guidelines, and develop training programs for key stakeholders
· Provides editorial direction across multiple communication channels (e.g. web, social, events, etc.) to ensure relevant, consistent and personalized communications with each of our B2B audiences by channel
· Ensures company’s marketing content across marketing channels and promotional properties is compelling, consistent and up-to-date
· Take advantage of information and analytics to make informed business decisions and editorial and communication improvements
· Collaborate and partner with analytics and testing team to develop cadence test plans or incorporating enterprise segmentation with propensity models for optimal sales results.
Candidate Requirements:
· Minimum of 10 years experience in developing and managing customer contact strategies and programs OR relationship marketing programs, including 5 years of interactive marketing experience.
· Minimum of 3 years business-to-business writing OR editorial experience in marketing publishing or communications. Department
· Experience spearheading the development of customer contact strategies and programs to optimize value through a managed cadence of messaging.
· Experience leveraging social media and web 2.0 initiatives as a part of a broader integrated campaign.
· Background in business-to-business writing, direct marketing writing and/or editorial experience in marketing, publishing or communications.
· Proven experience leading editorial and content management for innovative, demand-generating business-to-business web sites.
· BA in marketing, communications, journalism or related degree. MBA preferred.
· Strong project management skills and proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
· Experience with multinational brands, and comfort communicating with all staff levels up to and including the C-suite.
· Ability to understand marketing data and analysis and develop program recommendations from these insights.
· Global experience, or experience working outside of the United States a plus!
· Ability to work cross group and drive results across external and internal constituents.
· Strong team leadership experience, including experience managing agencies and freelance contractors.
· Ability to think strategically and suggest creative solutions.
· Ability to build partnerships and effectively establish and maintain relationships with internal and external clients and vendors.
· Comfortable interacting with different levels of management and leading cross-functional, cross-regional teams.
· Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to present recommendations to senior management.
· Strong leader, but willing to roll up sleeves to accomplish objectives.
· Ability to guide decision-making with strategic insight.
· Proactive approach to problem identification and solving.
· Maintains thorough understanding of stakeholders business and industry
