Regional Sales Manager Job Description
Overall Objective: To provide explosive sales growth in an innovative educational software creation. Frontline has built the country’s largest automated absence management solution for more than 55,000 schools around the country. Frontline will replicate and expand on this success with a new product debuting to the k-12 marketplace in 2012. We are looking for an energetic self-disciplined team-player who desires to work in a fast-paced environment with generous compensation. Apathy will not be tolerated.
This will require significant industry, company and account knowledge. It will also require product knowledge and successful sales techniques and professional sales skills. The successful result of this effort will be long term, growing and profitable Frontline customer relationships.
Job Requirements: •4-year College Degree or equivalent recommended. •Minimum of 3 years experience in education community related field or •Minimum of 3 years experience in field sales with territory management responsibility. •Ability to travel overnight 50-70% of the time including some weekends. •Computer experience in Word, Excel, and other applications. •Ability to establish work environment at home.
Major Activities •Meet or exceed established sales goals by effective territory management. •Fulfill call quotas in prospect accounts. •Meet or exceed program support quotas, pursuing sales and other engagements with customers and prospects to further relationships with those school districts. •Prepare for and attend assigned state territory conventions; sales & marketing meetings; training meetings and national state shows. •Increase market share by calling on all levels of school district in person, promoting Frontline’s product offering and services; conducting sales presentations to both groups and individuals; conduct on-line acquisition training as needed; promote special marketing plans and program; presenting Frontline products and services as solutions to school district and educational service agencies needs and requirements. •Resolve problems and complaints through proper internal channels in a professional manner. •Sell all product offerings demonstrating professional sales ability, knowledge and skills across all product lines. •Assist Marketing Coordinator in preparation of all bid responses by providing pertinent information. •Continually learn new products and services and methods of presentation for these products, demonstrating ability, skills and knowledge of all existing and new products and services. •Make organized and professional group and individual presentations demonstrating product knowledge and applicability to products and services to customer needs and requirements.
Time and Travel Management Requirements •Perform necessary travel within assigned territory via air or car following company travel policies and using the most efficient method of travel for time and appointments. •Perform necessary overnight and weekend travel. •Schedule and complete appointments in territory clusters – avoiding single trips to single accounts in a short period of time. •Make use of technology to enhance time management – laptop computers with air cards; cell phones; electronic calendars, etc. •Allocate time and take initiative to learn new products and services; new interfaces and sales presentation skills with regard to new product offerings. •Maintain valid state Drivers License for assigned territory. •Comply with all corporate travel and expense policies and guidelines. •Maintain car insurance as described by Corporate Policy.
Administrative Requirements •Maintain organized customer files and profiles as appropriate. •Maintain territory and mandatory reports as appropriate. •Submit requested management reports on time. •Return all incoming calls/ voice mail within 24 hours. •Respond to all incoming emails within 24 hours. •Complete and submit expense reports on a monthly basis. •Maintain sufficient supplies of marketing material, literature and brochures.
