QA Automation Tester (Software Development Life Cycle)

Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
4 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent technical/analytical skills (e.g., systems design) and/or strong programming and design skills.

- Support UAT and Enterprise release testing.
- Strong HP/Mercury Quality Center software skills - Defect Tracking, Test Lab
- Working knowledge of HP/Mercury QTP software
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessaryThis is a QA tester position. The incumbent will be working within an applications team and will be testing new business functionality in various Point of Sales applications.
The candidate must have applied Software Development Life Cycle - Waterfall and Agile experience in various testing projects.
The candidate is a member of a team that will test medium to small size projects. Candidate may also lead small size projects.
Work closely with analysts, development team and production support team members to develop test scripts and track resolutions on open issues/defects.
Developing and executing quality assurance test scripts, tests plans and checklists for system test and regression test cycles
Strong communications skills required.
Working knowledge of QTP required
Apply business knowledge to the technical skills and give feedback to internal teams on application flexibility and user friendliness.
Learn business aspects of a project and do thorough testing of POS applications.
Support UAT and Enterprise release testing
