Overview:
The Planning Allocator is the crucial first step in the product procurement process.
They are responsible for allocating all orders by warehouse and ensuring the vendor community receives the orders. The allocator is also responsible for making sure the orders are received into the warehouses in a timely manner. The Planning Allocator will execute all re-orders into the system. Additionally, the allocator will be responsible for all PO follow up and communication with the vendors, buyers and planners
Key Accountabilities:
Allocate orders by size and warehouse.
Generate re-orders based on established quantities.
Update on order log with PO# after finalizing order entry.
Track order delivery weekly and follow up with vendors as necessary.
Provide weekly recap of new orders (build, fashion) created and any outstanding issues for new orders.
Meet weekly with buyer/planner to discuss order issues.
Communicate with vendors to confirm orders have been electronically received.
Give final approval on orders.
