Job Description :
Position is located in Northern California Position Summary Provides advanced networking and computer related support in regards to Bosch Security Systems products to sales reps, dealers, consultants, and end-user customers within the Regional Sales Organization (RSO) Americas, primary in the west region. Technical support functions include installation, programming, operation, service and troubleshooting for IP Video products produced or supported by Bosch Security Systems s well as design and troubleshooting issues with our customer's network and computer related applications. Resolves complex technical problems. Provides assistance in the design and equipment identification for customer's network as it relates with Bosch's IP Video Products. Responds to and/or identifies escalation situations and refers to appropriate personnel or departments. Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-directed. May be required to travel up to 75% of the time. Principal Responsibilities • Provide technical and analytical support to Technical Support Specialist's. • Perform site visit to assist in analyzing network recommendations for Bosch product/systems design. • Gather facts and data to be used in the evaluation of customer systems or components. • Analyze and solve product or system related problems in regard to installation, programming, operation, service and/or troubleshooting. • Diagnose network and applications issues, equipment problems and provide information or workarounds to resolve these issues. • Manage and lead escalated Bosch product network related issues. • Analyze current and/or proposed customer hardware and/or software system components. Review, evaluate and recommend solutions for network related system issues. • Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems; participate in professional development activities as appropriate. • Provide support for internal department processes, system, or special projects as
Job Requirements :
Education Required: Associates degree in computer networking related field or five years of networking and computer application experience, and A+, N+ , MCSE certified. Preferred: Bachelors degree in computer science or network related field or five to seven years of technical support experience in networking and computer application and certifications in Cisco products or MCSE. Physical Demands May require lifting of up to 25-50 pounds on occasion. Special Skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; advanced electronics, advanced computer and networking skills including wireless; excellent telephone skills; ability to learn technical information and provide technical guidance and instruction; develop and deliver presentations; planning and organizational skills; self-motivated, team oriented and utilization of exceptional customer service techniques. Ability to work outside of normal business hours with minimal supervision.
