Title National Account Executive DepartmentBusiness Development/Sales Reports To Senior Director LTL Services Job Grade Exempt Job summary The National Account Executive is responsible for establishing and growing relationships with both new and existing clients. The NAE should be focused on opportunities above $1,000,000 in gross revenue within a single or multi mode. This position is based out of your home office.
Summary of essential job functions Solicit new business within an assigned area, industry or data base Manage sales pipeline of 150-200 accounts. Maintain and manage existing account relationships. Prepare sales contracts for new clients Effectively communicate PLS service offerings to new accounts. Introduce new services to existing accounts. Manage and update Salesforce.com information Prepare sales marketing materials and presentations. Perform monthly checklist of oSecure 3-5 LOA opportunities oAverage 8 lunches oAverage 4 dinners oAverage 2 customer entertainments Perform weekly checklist of o50-70 phone calls to solicit new business opportunities o6-8 live sales calls o3-6 sales presentations oAttend weekly sales meetings Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Five plus years of outside sales experience Two plus years in the logistics/freight forwarding industry Successful, proven sales track record Strong written and verbal communication skills Must possess strong analytical, strategic selling and creative thinking skills Must be able to effectively use a CRM system Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree Minimum of two years sales experience in the transportation industry Some overnight travel required
