Title Meteorology Intern Cablevision Division News 12 Networks Department Name News Production-N12 WC Job Location NY / Yonkers Requisition ID 10573BR Position Type Intern Description The Meteorology intern will need a flexible schedule and hours. As a News 12 Meteorology Intern, the student will be working directly with our Meteorologist/Anchor for the Morning and Daytime Editions. In this capacity the student will be responsible for aiding the Anchor in the forecasting of the day's weather. Prior to the shows, the student will be working with the News 12 Graphic Artists in the making of maps and forecast graphics. The Morning and Daytime Editions require the student to assist the Meteorologist/Anchor in fact-checking, and interviewing, preparing and arranging any written scripts, fonts, and video needed for the four-hour time period that comprise the live Morning and Daytime Editions. Student may be required to perform other functions as directed by the Weather Anchor, including using weather computers to build and prepare forecasts. The Weather Anchor will be responsible for providing the Intern Cordinator with a written evaluation of the student at the end of the internship. 2 - 3 days per week, hours vary Qualifications Preferred majors: Meteorology, Atmospheric Science This is a Fall internship. To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to receive college credit. This internship is unpaid.
