Overview:
The MIO Manager is responsible for the EDI setup and management of customer backorders. As the manager, you are responsible for daily processing and planning of the departments basic responsibilities to ensure on standard performance. You will collaborate and implement change or new procedures when required. Develop and review exception reporting which highlight off standard situations. You will identify process opportunities and work to implement change. The Manager will support the training function with updated communication and documents and co facilitate training sessions.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure routine operations are processed within standard.
Partner with Accounts Payable-EDI team to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and monitored.
Ensure vendor setup is timely and weekly status reports are issued.
Ensure corporate department and class setups are completed when issued and according to standard.
Analyze the backorder process to improve efficiency and in stock and reduce cancellations.
Understand the impact of Macy's cCommerce practices and replenishment system on backorder.
Develop analysis and scorecard to pinpoint vendor issues.
Ensure a detailed understanding and be the ""expert"" on all related systems.
Maintain strong communications with all business partners - Merchants, Planners, Corporate Accounts Payable, Accounting, Logistics and Systems.
Support Merchant and Planning organizations in the resolution of issues.
Ensure training material and procedures manual is updated.
Completion of ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
Identify system or procedural issues which impact performance.
Ensure training materials are updated to include required material and co-facilitate training classes in the corporate office.
Achieve ""bench"" through development of your team.
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Lotus Notes.
Intermediate at Excel, able to work and manipulate large amounts of data.
Strong basic math skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and tech savvy skills.
