This is a hands-on position where the product manager will be expected to be the subject matter and technical expert for all of our retail systems. This is a permanent full-time position located at out NYC corporate offices near Union Square.
Responsibilities:
Will own and serve as subject matter and technical expert for our retail systems portfolio across all lines of business for our 60+ locations.
Develop an expert level understanding of all in-store business processes and how they integrate with our systems by working side by side with the field and corporate sales organizations.
Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise strength point-of-sale systems
Proven experience working with vendor based systems and holding vendors accountable for timelines and deliverables
Responsible for the application design and architecture for new modules and features across existing and new retail systems portfolio
Author functional requirements that will serve as an input for application design
Responsible to communicate responsibilities clearly, understand and "quarterback" issues and relentlessly drive them to conclusion by personally verifying they have been resolved.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in project management in software development
BS degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong experience working with MS SQL Server 2005 and writing complex SQL queries
Proven experience writing and debugging SQL stored procedures and functions
Assumes an ownership role and takes the responsibility seriously
Able to work independently while keeping teammates abreast of milestones and issues
Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment with changing requirements
EDUCATION
BS degree in Computer Science or related field
