Qualifications:The Gas Customer Conversion group is looking to hire a Specialist to join its Strategic Support group. The selected candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills He or she must possess interpersonal skills to work effectively in one-on-one and group situations. The successful candidate must the Con Edison search tools for customer information (i.e. CIS). The individual must have a background in developing engineering solutions for customers, and have extensive experience with Logica/Work Management System. Knowledge of the Gas system is a plus. A BA/BS Degree in Engineering or related field is required and a minimum of 2 years of experience managing customer projects, support operations, Energy Services, Gas Operations or related field is required for this position.


Must have a valid driver s license and be able and willing to travel within the Con Edison service territory.

Responsibilities:In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Serves as the Company s case manager by tracking and monitoring the progress of Company and customer work for all oil to gas conversions. also serves as the project coordinator amongst the various company departments; analyzes and evaluates new and additional gas load requests, and ensures that information provided by a customer is complete. prepares customer service layouts and advises the customer as to how the Company will install/modify a building s gas facility; authorizes changes as appropriate; provides the customer with all rate options applicable and the costs and service requirements for each rate; understands the gas process flow in order to provide customer with appropriate feedback as necessary throughout their projects; have an understanding of the company s relationship with internal and external organizations and maintain such relationships to ensure that conversion projects are completed in a timely manner; be knowledgeable with several programs and software to ensure that the appropriate information is gathered and obtained prior to submitting requests to Gas Engineering; Prepares and maintains correspondence with the customer; serve as the liaison between the customer and the Company; Coordinates with Gas Conversion Operations to ensure field visits are completed; have the flexibility to complete special projects as assigned; and have an understanding of Area Growth and coordinate with Gas Marketing & Sales to track specific conversion projects within zones.
