Qualifications:Information Resources seeks to hire a highly motivated and dedicated professional to maintain the Company?s Customer Information System (CIS) including supporting various alternate platform applications. The candidate must also be well versed in CICS. The candidate must be able to do problem determination for both CICS online and batch. Additional responsibilities include implementation of new systems or software products when required by regulation, policy change or strategic business transformation. With minimal guidance, candidate must be able to the effectively maintain and enhance existing mission critical customer service applications in addition to performing programming activities related to new system development.
Bachelor?s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, is required. The candidate must have at least 3 years experience with responsibilities in the analysis, design, programming and implementation of information systems in a mainframe environment. Furthermore, candidate must have at least 2 years experience supporting large and complex corporate systems.
The candidate must have experience in CICS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, and DB2. Assembler, TSO, SPF, MQ, TCPIP, HTTP, and XML and REXX are a plus. Application programming technical skills must include CICS command level coding. Candidate must be able to analyze system problems; formulate scope and objectives for system modifications; perform system testing and be able to adhere to standard Change Management practices and Production implementation procedures. Candidate must also have excellent oral and written communication skills with extensive knowledge of mainframe application development techniques. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Candidate must also have the ability to learn new technologies. Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and government regulations.

Responsibilities:Perform system and design tasks that are specific to adding new functionality to the CIS system. Analyzes existing CIS applications and recommends improvements. Organizes and prepares system documentation and procedures. Establishes and maintains project implementation tasks and schedules. Codes applications and performs unit, integration and system testing of modifications to CIS system to satisfy user requests in support of changing business requirements. Prepares packages for maintenance and projects for production. Troubleshoots and resolves production problems. Effectively utilizes mainframe programming tools and techniques. Interacts with user organizations and develops strong working relationships during the course of assignments.
Performs other related assignments as required.
The position requires a valid driver?s license. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel within the service territory as required to attend meetings and provide support as necessary. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours as required for system installations and upgrades, production support or in response to corporate emergencies.
