This leadership position that will encompass either WebMDs Professional Promotional Business, Medscapes CME business or WebMDs Professional and Consumer businesses - all of which are managing either Senior Sales people and/or Sales Leadership/Managers who manage Senior Sales people ( Strategic Account Directors and Senior Strategic Account Directors). Customers are Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Biotech companies - specifically senior level Marketing and Franchise leaders within these customers. The position depends upon the location of the individual and the experience/background of the individual. Travel depends on their location - if candidate lives outside of NJ/NY/PA area travel may be up to 60% - if lives in this area then 25%.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Through superior leadership, management and mentoring consistently drive his/her team to achieve or exceed quota in driving sales of WebMDs multitude of products by developing multi-faceted integrated solutions including both internet and print that help the top DTC spending pharmaceutical brands achieve their marketing objectives. Build the WebMD business through strong client awareness and branding and ability to position the core products from an audience perspective to DTC pharmaceutical clients and AOR. Develop and position WebMD suite of integrated solutions against the appropriate audiences Develop and maintain strong relationships with the senior management (typically brand/product and marketing executives) at WebMDs clients, consisting mostly of Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Biotech companies but also could include non-health related clients and AORs. . Conduct weekly revenue meetings to review sales pipeline. Provide significant oversight, and if necessary take th QUALIFICATIONS: Senior Sales Management Experience with demonstrated and measurable track record of success in media sales. Superior organizational and planning skills; executive presence, able to inspire respect from all levels both internally and externally. Exceptional presentation and consultative sales skills; someone with a long track record of building durable relationships with senior level executives at both client and AOR. Outstanding management writing and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively run sales meetings, track pipelines and keep a team organized, motivated, sharp and winning. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, participate and thrive in a dynamic and successful sales environment. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field. e lead, in the negotiation of larger contracts. Interface with other departments of the organization like Marketing, Editorial, Production, Finance, Legal, HR, etc.
