Editor, Literature And Cinema Studies
- Plan, commission, develop, and launch projects and series to expand our presence in the literature and cinema studies market. - Identify and recruit potential authors and advisors to assist in the development, repurposing, and revision of products, where appropriate. - Prepare proposals for editorial board; negotiate, sign, and acquire new projects and series where appropriate. - Work with production, marketing, and sales staff to ensure successful launch of titles and series. - Create good working relationship with UK counterparts and marketing, sharing strategy for UK/US collaboration, where appropriate. - Attend appropriate conferences and industry events as appropriate; campus travel to maintain and build relationships. - Manage junior staff with an eye to efficiency and growth.
Minimum four year degree; three to five years of editorial experience; proven track record in commissioning titles, program development, established network a plus.
