AT&T Innovation Center (IC) Director Mobility Product Marketing Management is a seasoned product leader with a strong technical and business background. The AT&T IC Director is skilled in leading the development of next generation devices, application and equipment that expand the capability of mobile and wired broadband; considered to be a Subject Matter Expert in the field, and skilled in strategic and operational counsel. Knowing the industry, understanding what is needed to enable integrated mobile and wired broadband capabilities crossing multiple device "screens," including smartphones and other mobile devices, PCs, televisions and other emerging devices, the AT&T Director is able to provide necessary leadership that ensures the continued success of the AT&T Innovation centers.
Roles and responsibilities of the AT&T Innovation Center Director- Mobility Product Marketing Management include but are not limited to the following:
Establish instant credibility as a leader, leverage experience and knowledge, directing the development of the AT&T Innovation Center requirements
Successful life cycle management of products/services in order to optimize success of AT&T Innovative Center -driving new capabilities crossing networks, devices and applications
Lead product development and the product development team /hosted, dedicated, shared and/or managed deployments focused on application and service development, prototyping, equipment testing and demonstration of emerging capabilities
Define product strategy and manage cross functional teams to drive the service development through the Design, Develop and Deliver new product ideation and development processes.
Effectively transfer technical expertise / Viewed as Subject Matter Expert
Responsible for AT&T's third party application portfolio, OEM storefront, application platform management and external partner relationships/compliance
Provide strategic analysis of market, synthesize into clear requirements for new products and/or enhancements
Provide hands on program management leadership, managing working level sessions as well as weekly leadership calls, end to end dashboard and critical issues
Develop, recommend and execute business plans, technology roadmaps, technology deployment plans and associated product development timelines.
Approves, sets priorities, and allocates resources for execution of the line of business strategy and achievement of performance objectives including: financial performance, market share, production and delivery of market area support projects (e.g. directs and approves new products and product features; directs advertising and promotional programs, etc.)
Conducts multi-year product planning to determine product life-cycle decisions, ensure consistency with overall
marketing and corporate strategy, and achieve product performance, revenue, market share/penetration, and profitability objectives
Establishes operational objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers
Product lines are diverse in nature and require experienced management
Qualifications
Successful candidate will have relevant mobile broadband expertise, wired broadband and understanding of AT&T U-verse IPTV platform and AT&T wireless technologies and services. Will be skilled in mobile and wired broadband applications and device product development and will lead a successful product marketing development team. This individual is a proven performer with measurable successes leading to positive bottom-line results. Interpersonally, this person is an industry leader with the ability to build consensus, work across organizational boundaries and lead a successful Innovation Center product marketing development team.
Required Qualifications:
10 or more years relevant experience in the wireless industry, either with a wireless carrier, manufacturer or wireless software design firm
5 or more years of Product development experience
3-6 years experience managing teams, preferably comprising diverse disciplines including marketing, design and technical resources
Strong people management, coaching and counseling skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Superior written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal and negotiation skills
BS Degree in related field
Desired Qualifications:
MBA
Experience providing strategic and operational consulting
Experience in Product strategies for mobile and wired broadband
Thorough understanding and experience in driving a highly complex, creative business
