Qualifications:Con Edison s Steam Operations, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Group is seeking a Specialist. The primary function of this position will be to maintain Steam Operations, Central Operation Procedures (COP s), and related documents necessary to support Steam Operations compliance. A Bachelor s degree in a related discipline (i.e., , Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biological Science, computer science, or Information Systems) with 2 years work experience or an Associate s Degree with 4 years experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years experience required. Experience in technical writing, procedure writing, reviewing, and editing documents for publication required. Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
Experience training individuals and working in an office environment preferred. EH&S related experience and or basic Power Plant experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
Responsibilities:The Specialist will be responsible for supporting procedure development, revision, and maintenance within organization and management of information through associated web site. In addition, monthly tracking and reporting of organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPI s) at the Vice President, General Manager and departmental levels along with the production and maintaining of the Monthly Steam Operations Performance Book. Provides training in the procedures format and organization to employees in the department who are responsible for initiating written procedures. Assists in the development and support of steam operations related training initiatives. Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to prepare Facilitator Guides for relevant procedures; prepare drafts of procedure, as required, for review by SMEs. Assists in the management of Steam Operations EH&S website.
