Occupational Therapist
Immediate openings for OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS at Staten Island and Brooklyn preschool for special needs children. Must be licensed and NYS certified.
Requirements:
Provide mandated services per the child’s IEP
Attend weekly case conferences for your caseload
Provide initial evaluations as needed throughout the school year in your therapy area
Provide annual review updates for your caseload as needed
Monitor services needed, record progress and required periodic reviews as your caseload transitions from CPSE to CSE programs
Provide monthly progress report on your caseload
Provide monthly STAT information i.e.; daily attendance and monthly service calendar
Provide consultation to the child’s teacher on the most effective methods to work with the child
Attend parent-teacher conferences and provide parents with updates on the child’s progress
Salary range $39,000-$60,000 based on related experience. Excellent benefits.

The Child Study Center of New York (CSC) was established in 1981 to aid in developing the lives of special needs children at preschool age using disciplines of psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy as integral functions of its education program.
CSC believes that early childhood services play a fundamental role in the development of children. Therefore, the philosophy of CSC is to provide developmentally appropriate programs and services while aspiring to quality. We are driven to create a safe, nurturing environment that enables each child to function at his or her fullest potential.
Here at the CSC our children are from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and the State Education Department authorizes our program to accept and service children between the ages of 2.6-5 with special needs.
