Corporate Travel Manager
Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Corporate Travel Manager for our Parsippany, New Jersey location. This position is responsible for the continued development and management of all aspects of the DSI Travel Program. This position will be responsible for deal negotiations, oversight of all corporate contracts, involvement with policy creation and high-level issues, and the management of DSI’s relationship with American Express Travel. The Manager will be customer-service oriented, technically savvy, and capable of reporting metrics on a consistent basis to budget managers and senior management.

Responsibilities: In this position, you will manage all supplier relationships with airlines, hotels, car rental services, etc and facilitate the sharing of best industry practices. You will negotiate corporate volume discount contracts with vendors. You will also manage Daiichi Sankyo's vendor relationship with American Express Travel, which includes defining the parameters of service, reporting and setting cost expectations, as well as holding vendors to expectations, and working with them on the implementation and rollout of new services. In this position, you will be responsible for the development and tracking of key business metrics, such as travel compliance, cost savings, and vendor compliance, to accurately measure travel program performance and supplier effectiveness as well as reporting these metrics to budget managers and senior management. Additionally, you will manage relationships with the travelers or individuals responsible for employee travel within all operating divisions, handling all customer service issues and assuring compliance with our overall corporate travel program and policies.
You will develop, implement, and distribute all communication plans supporting strategies to all suppliers. You will also be responsible for suggesting revisions to the corporate T&E policy and ensuring compliance from Corporate and all operating businesses. In this position, you will be responsible for the tracking and fielding of all exception requests to the travel policy by individual travelers or operating divisions.
You will assist the Finance Department with review of T&E reimbursement requests to assure policy compliance. You will be responsible for the management of Daiichi Sankyo's corporate BTA card program. In this position, you will work in conjunction with the Consolidated Meeting Department and/or outside meeting vendor to coordinate meetings logistics through the Corporate Group Travel Desk or associated preferred vendors. You will ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget, performing any additional duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or the equivalent; Bachelor's Degree is preferred; Travel or CMP accreditation is preferred; MBA a plus. Candidates will have at least 5-7 years experience working in the travel and/or meeting industry with strong experience executing cost-effective corporate contracts and negotiating smart deals. It is essential that you have outstanding communication, negotiation, leadership, and performance management skills. It is also essential that you are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as have a hands-on understanding of web-based travel systems such as online booking, electronic hotel RFP systems, and data management tools.
